Local Trips

At New Moston Primary School, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Local trips and visits play a vital role in enriching our curriculum, building real-world understanding, and helping our children develop confidence and curiosity about the world around them.

Throughout the school year, children may take part in a range of short, local visits. These are always carefully planned to link with current topics, seasonal events, or community engagement. All trips are within walking distance of school and are fully supervised by school staff.

These may include:

• Walks in the local area

• Visits to New Moston Library

• Exploring local shops, businesses, or transport links

• Educational visits to places of worship

• Time in the local park or nature areas

• Community-focused activities and charity events

All local visits are risk assessed and follow our robust safeguarding and supervision procedures.

We ask parents and carers to give consent for these types of visits once per year. You will always be informed in advance if a visit requires transport or goes beyond our local community.
